Well!.........................................
I can't say I am getting on very quickly with this but I did manage to talk to Zoe who knows a lot of stuff about weird food.
I asked whether it was better to get a coffee grinder with a blade or a burr thingy. For those of you who don't have a clue what I am talking about, the coffee grinder is to grind the flax and chia seed that I am going to be eating for breakfast sometimes.
I thought I would make a start by trying to get some low carb breakfasts under my belt. As I mainly get up at 4 o'clock in the morning my toast and chocolate spread is REALLY important to me!! Anyway I read in the book "Grain Brain" that I could eat Greek yogurt and flax or chia seeds for breakfast together with some fruit, along with some other strange stuff so my first move is to get me a coffee grinder so I can break up the flax and chia seeds so I thought you would all be pleased to know that I have ordered a coffee grinder with a blade as Zoe tells me the bladed version is easier to clean than the burr type.
So! I ordered a coffee mill and it should be her in about 5 days (I can wait!).
The healthy whole grains, and particularly wheat, are having a really bad effect upon our brains. Dr Perlmutter says that wheat is responsible for destroying more brains in this country (I think he is in the USA) than all the strokes, car accidents and head trauma combined.
I ate greek yoghurt and blackberries (from my front jungle) and strawberries this morning for breakfast, then I did about 40 minutes with Camilla Dallerup and frankly my dears, I feel pretty damned good! I got as far as the arabesques. These are important for me as I feel as though my buttocks are no longer involved in my walking and my walking has turned into a seaside shuffle (If you look at old people walking {sorry old people}they walk with a really short stride and their buttocks are completely taken out of the equation. BE WARNED.
So first stop, coffee grinder.........more later!
